Safesilo AI

SafeSilo AI

The Knowledge Control Plane for company AI.

AI that only knows what you're allowed to know. SafeSilo is the layer that decides who your AI agent answers and where your data goes. Each person only gets answers from what they're cleared to see, and your data only goes to the AI tools you've approved.

Diagram: a technician asks the one SafeSilo AI a question. SafeSilo first checks who is asking. Only the Program Alpha files are allowed. Customer A files and export-controlled data are denied. Program Alpha data can go to the local AI, but not to the cloud AI, which is not approved for it.

Same AI. Different answers for each person.

  • CMMC L2
  • ITAR / EAR
  • NIST 800-171
  • CUI

CUI is sensitive government information. ITAR/EAR are U.S. export-control laws. CMMC and NIST 800-171 are defense cybersecurity standards.

The problem

Most company AI treats everyone the same.

Nothing sits between your people, your documents and your AI. That missing layer is the knowledge control plane.

Connect an AI to your shared files and two things go wrong. Anyone can ask about any document, even ones they shouldn't see. And your documents can be sent to whatever outside AI service or plug-in the AI uses. For defense and aircraft maintenance companies, either mistake can mean a security breach, an export-law violation or a broken customer contract.

Security spills

Sensitive government information shown to an employee who isn't cleared.

Export-law violations

Export-controlled technical data shown to someone not authorized.

Contract breaches

One customer's data used to answer another customer's question.

Silent leaks

Restricted data sent to an outside AI service or app nobody approved.

01 / How it works

How the Knowledge Control Plane works.

The control plane has two halves. Control: connect, label and set the rules once. Enforcement: check, limit and test on every question.

01Control

Connect

Reads who's allowed to see what from the systems you already use: your user directory (Entra ID / Active Directory), SharePoint and shared folders. Nothing to rebuild.

02Control

Label

Tags documents by sensitivity and owner: government-controlled, export-controlled, program, customer, contract.

03Control

Set rules

Admins add roles and walled-off groups of documents ("silos") when your existing systems don't cover a rule.

04Enforcement

Check first

Before the AI looks at anything, SafeSilo narrows it to what that person may see. The AI never sees the rest. Every answer cites only allowed sources, and every question is logged.

05Enforcement

Control exits

Every outside AI service or tool gets a sensitivity limit: Public, Internal or Restricted. Data above that limit never goes there.

06Enforcement

Test run first

Start in watch-only mode. SafeSilo maps every path and records what it would block, without disrupting anyone. Switch on enforcement when you're ready.

> default is no · check who's asking first · limit where data goes · log every answer

Runs on your own servers by default. Connects to outside AI services only where your policy allows. Built on DPLYD.

02 / The whole picture

Your control plane, visualized.

One picture of every group, role, skill, document source and AI tool, showing what's allowed, what's blocked and what's set up wrong. See it before an auditor or an incident does.

Who are the people using the system, what are the agents (roles and skills) using the tools, and what confidential knowledge do they have access to?

03 / Who it's for

Built for teams where one wrong answer is a serious incident.

[✖] DEFENSE

Programs stay separate.

Sensitive, controlled and everyday work can share one AI. Each person only reaches what their program and clearance allow.

  • Separate walls for each program
  • Government-information rules enforced
  • Audit proof on demand
  • Sensitive data never sent to unapproved AI
[⚙] AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE (MRO)

Every customer's data stays theirs.

One shop servicing competing airlines and manufacturers. Technicians get answers only from the manuals and records they're authorized for.

  • Each customer's data kept separate
  • Export-law limits applied person by person
  • Defense and commercial work kept apart on one shop floor
  • Customer data kept out of third-party tools
[§] REGULATED ENTERPRISE

Need-to-know, automated.

Law firms, healthcare, finance: client walls, patient-data limits, deal teams.

  • Walls between teams that must stay separate
  • Least access by default
  • Uses your existing permissions
  • Limits on every AI connection

A technician asks: "What's the torque spec for the #2 engine mount?" The answer comes from Customer A's manual only. Customer B's version stays invisible.

04 / Pricing

Two ways to run your Knowledge Control Plane.

$500/month

Includes 1 user, then $25 per additional user per month. Software, AI models and management, running on hardware you own.

$5,000/month, fully leased

As many users as the hardware supports. Hardware, AI models, maintenance, updates and support included. No upfront cost.

No per-use billing. No overage charges. Example: 10 users on your hardware = $725/month.

05 / FAQ

Questions.

What is a knowledge control plane?

The layer between your people, your documents and your AI. It decides who each answer can draw from and which AI tools may receive your data, and it logs every question.

How is this different from Copilot or Glean?

Those are AI apps that run in someone else's cloud and rely on a copy of your permissions. SafeSilo is the control plane underneath: it runs on your hardware and checks permissions before the AI sees any content.

Do we have to rebuild our permissions?

No. It reads your existing groups and permissions. You only add rules where your current systems fall short.

What happens when someone's access changes?

Access updates on a schedule you set (default: near-real-time for changes in your user directory). Once someone's access is removed, it's gone as of their next question.

Can it run with no internet connection?

Yes. It can run fully disconnected, with updates delivered offline. If you do allow outside AI services or tools, SafeSilo controls exactly which data can reach them.

Can we prove it to an auditor?

Every question is logged: who asked, their role, which sources were used and which were kept out. Export it for audits.

Can our team still use cloud models or tools?

Yes, where policy allows. Each outside tool has a sensitivity limit; data above it stays home.

Will turning this on break existing workflows?

No. Start in watch-only mode: everything keeps working and every would-be block is recorded. Turn on enforcement when the map looks right.
